Tea Tree Oil Is An Excellent Home Remedy For Acne

The oil of the Tea Tree has been used for thousands of years for its healing properties. The aborigines were the first ones to use it and it has been an extensively utilized remedy since then.

Today, scientific research has well demonstrated that the healing properties of this oil is not a fabrication of the imagination nor does it belong to the realm of superstition. Modrn science has corroborated ancestral knowledge and confirmed that Tea Tree oil has anti-infectious, anti-bacterial and antiviral attributes that are particularly beneficial for the skin. It will be beneficial to those suffering from acne and greasy skin.

Simply dilute the Tea Tree oil with another kind of oil before applying it on infected areas. You can also blend it with your existing creams and lotions to enhance their skin-healing effects. Do not use this oil undiluted on the skin as it is too strong and will burn.

Green Tea Bath

Here’s a pleasant and unusual way to treat the skin of your body. If you have access to a bath, take a green tea bath to clean and tone your skin. It is already established that drinking green tea will have positive effects against acne for most people (it is detoxifying and rich in antioxidants) but you can also further benefit from this healthy mixture by bathing in it, here’s how :

Begin by pouring yourself a hot bath and while the water is filling up the tub, add one bag of coarse brown salt (large grains). Beforehand, prepare a one liter mixture of strong green tea. Make sure the tea has rested in the hot water for at least 10 minutes and has been stirred a few times before adding it to the bath. Along with the salt and tea, add in the juice of a few unripe lemons.

If you can find green tea powder that will be even easier than preparing the tea mixture and can be simply added to the bath directly (try a few teaspoons first) – although this involves tea grains doing down the pipes when you drain the bath so you may want to use the mixture to avoid any problems with the plumbing.

Add any beneficial oils to the water to alter the smell of the green tea if you so wish. You can learn more acne home remedies and treat your skin condition naturally.

The Magic Of Aloe Vera

Originating from South Africa this plant has become enormously popular in skin care and rightfully so given its multitude of therapeutic and healing properties. It contains a number of minerals (including zinc), several vitamins, enzymes as well as essential fatty acids. Furthermore it is able to equilibrate the PH in the body (alkaline/acid balance), remove dead skin cells and even clear up mild acne scars. It is an anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial substance. No wonder aloe vera is found in so many skin care products!

Whether you grow an aloe plant in your home and take the pure gel from its leaves or you buy the gel in pharmacies or health food stores (inexpensive) it will be a great addition to your home remedies for acne. Simply use the gel once or twice a day or as needed (it will be great after a sunburn or during winter when the skin is prone to get too dry).
